What is an excess?

The excess is the maximum amount that the customer will assume in the event of damage to the vehicle. In case of obtaining the ‘Basic’ insurance, you will be informed of the excess in the selected category. The excess establishes a financial limit for the customer’s liability in case of incidents that generate repair costs to the rented vehicle.

What is not included in the insurance?

None of our insurances include coverage for the breakage or loss of vehicle keys. We recommend that you handle the keys carefully during the rental period.

None of our insurances include cover for refuelling errors. Make sure you use the right fuel and take the necessary precautions during the refuelling process to avoid any inconvenience.

What is the fuel policy?

In our car rental service, we deliver the car with a specific level of fuel. It is important to note that it is the hirer’s responsibility to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel at the time of delivery. The exact amount of fuel with which the vehicle is delivered will be specified in detail in the rental contract.

Does El punto rent a Car allow me to cross borders between bordering countries?

We are not authorised to allow you to leave the country.

What are the requirements to rent a car?

A valid driving licence recognised in the EU.
A valid identification document DNI/NIE or passport.
Age over 21 years and 2 years old to rent a car and 3 years old for motorbikes.
Credit or debit card as a guarantee only.

Do you deliver the vehicles directly at the airport or at hotels?

Yes, our vehicle delivery or collection service is personalised, so you can hire this service without any problem.
